Stay Thankful with One Simple Step
When we think of November, we think of it being a time when we should reflect on what we are thankful for in our life.
Personally, I have made it my mantra to be thankful for something each day. Every morning I write on a big chalkboard in my kitchen what I’m thankful for that day.
It's important to write it down in a place where you can see it, to remind you through the day. This has been my saving grace in getting through this last month. I have had many emotional events lately, starting with losing my beloved rodeo horse, then having emergency retina detachment surgery which has made the vision in my left eye extremely burry, and then my college aged son getting into a motor vehicle accident and totaling his car.
Believe me when I say that I have had many crying spells and have spent a lot of time on my knees praying!! It has not been an easy process, and every day is still challenging, but I am truly grateful because I still have so much, and I am so blessed and loved. I still have what is most important in my life.
I want to challenge you to write down what you are thankful for each day, and you will see that it makes a big difference in your perspective. It certainly did mine.
