Horsehair in your Lip Gloss?

I always like to have something on my lips. I am a very fair skinned lady and I feel that I really need some color to brighten my face! Time and time again I apply my favorite gloss, go to brush my horse and then struggle to pull the hair fibers off my lips without taking off all the gloss. My friend reminds me that a matte lipstick vs gloss is so much better to use to avoid this problem.
