Valentines Day Expectations

It’s Valentine’s Day and I had to run into the grocery store to pick up a prescription.  While standing in line, I notice that every person in the store was a man with his hands full of Valentines Day gifts.

I giggled to myself because it’s such a stereotype (but true) of how men usually shop at the last minute for this romantic holiday.  I’m actually surprised that I didn’t see my wonderful husband right there in line.

In my many years of being married and raising two sons, I have just accepted that this is the way God made them.  They really cannot overcome that Y chromosome. Instead of expecting any different, I choose to be thankful that they are taking the time to be loving and kind️.

And as I’m leaving the store I pass five more men coming in.....Happy Valentines Day️!!
