Welcome March!

This past winter in California has been so mild and beautiful that it’s really been a great opportunity to keep my horses in shape.  I spent most of the winter working my horses at home and deciding which horse might be ready to hit some rodeos this summer.

When I think of March, I immediately think of shamrocks and leprechauns, but most of all I think about THE TIME CHANGE!

I am not a fan of the evening rush in the barn to get all my chores done because it gets dark at 5:00! Then when I go up to the house to have dinner and clean up, 7 pm feels like 10 pm!

It’s amazing to me how much the longer days improves my mood.  I love being outside until the long day is done. During the summertime we sometimes don’t even eat dinner until 9:00! There is nothing better than kicking off dirty boots and having a cool drink after a long beautiful day.

So cheers to that Leprechaun jumping over that rainbow and moving that golden clock FORWARD on March 13th!
